STATE OF OKLAHOMA CARES ACT Funding for cities & Towns

The State of Oklahoma has CARES Act Funding available for cities and towns! Frank Crawford and David Weatherford have worked to put together a step-by-step guide for the process of applying for the funding, including the information from the state and samples from other communities. A part of the manual includes several different resolutions for your governing body to consider as a part of the process.

All Oklahoma cities and towns have been allocated a maximum amount available from the State of Oklahoma, and we encourage all to apply for the full amount if possible. The OMMS and OMAG staff are available to assist you with the application process and answer any questions along the way!

The first step is to register with SAM.gov, which must be done by September 1, 2020. Many of you have registered in the past as a part of federal grant applications in the past, but make sure it is up-to-date.

Please reach out to OMMS, OMAG or Frank Crawford’s office with questions or assistance, we are here to help!
